A long time ago, there used to be a website called....dollection.fi? Anyway, this website had a search feature that allowed a user to search for a doll sculpt by feature (such as fangs, fantasy parts, etc), but this site shut down. The code was handed off to someone, but as far as I know, they never did anything with this data and all the comparison images and other things are in limbo. In any case, I used this data almost on a daily basis, and now it's gone. So, I decided to try and recreate something similar. I don't know how to code, so I can only provide a few different resources and lump them together. This website allowed you to add images from a list and drag them around an area and compare them side-by-side. Unfortunately, I don't have that coding capability, so you will just have to download the images and open them up in an image editing program. I added a few entries as a reference. If there is another resource like this, let me know and I can drop this project. If you would like to collaborate on this, I am more than happy to help. I have a job, so I can't always keep up with this. I am well versed in the ways of the interwebs (), but I may have gotten permissions wrong. Just please don't destroy the table. Please feel free to download any and all data and add it to whatever database you have/want to create as well. Any comments, suggestions, or anything else is welcome. Want me to add a specific tag or filter? Let me know! Click "filter" on the top left and add a filter to search for a specific tag, or select the magnifying glass on the far right to search via text. Created for the community by the community! :D Searchable database:

After years of procrastinating, I finally got around to processing some of the raw alpaca fiber I bought in 2012. Literally YEARS! It is 2018 now!
Have any of you ever heard of the Comparison Heaven? If not, then you need to check it out immediately! Comparison Heaven is a website that allows you to add dolls to a height chart to compare their sizes! While MANY dolls have been added, the site is no longer being updated. Many people have tried contacting the sites owner through various means, but no one is getting a response. The last update was sometime in 2015 and the year is now 2017. This is quite unfortunate, as this was a brilliant, not to mention extremely useful, idea.
I have started the modifications on the female Mirodoll. I have one knee jointed roughed in, but there is still lots to do.
So I am STILL waiting on my Mirodoll order. I am upset by this because the doll I ordered were listed as "in stock" on their website. After waiting several weeks, I managed to contact them via Facebook. Turns out they were not in stock at all! I bought them on August 29th, 2016 and it is now October 3, 2016. However, these doll are still listed as "in stock" on their website even now.
As you may know, I ordered my Soom Amber and purchased some Coquina parts from the Den of Angels marketplace. I planned on selling the Epidia body and using a Resinsoul body instead, since my old Soom legs would not fit the new bodies.
Introduction This whole project started when I just couldn't stand my dark cluttered room anymore, mostly my closet. The rest of the room was a decision I made on a whim later. Don't get me wrong, I loved my dark purple walls, but the dark color made it difficult for me to see anything properly. The carpet had been there for twenty years and had managed to survive my brother's abuse, my abuse, and my dog's abuse. If my brother and I weren't spilling drinks or paint on the carpet, my stubborn male dachshund was marking his territory on the corner of my bed everyday. For those of you who are lucky enough to have or have had a dachshund, you know what I mean.
The design of my closet was horrible. I do believe my dad designed the closet for a child, which was understandable since me and my brother were kids when he built the house. However, the closet space just was not working for me anymore. There were three wall-to-wall closet rods. Then there was the dresser. The horrible dresser that just sat there, in the middle of nowhere....protruding a good two and a half feet outwards. Yea, the dresser had to go. Reason being, I need much less room for clothes and much more room for art supplies. After playing Forsaken World since closed beta, I thought it was time to switch games. I like Forsaken World because the gear and other things where gorgeous. However, like most Perfect World Entertainment games, it was a bit lacking in more way than one. Getting to be a top player was pretty much impossible unless you spent thousands of dollars on Zen in order to buy gear items in the cash shop. I digress, so let me continue.
So I was going through my photobucket account, clearing it all out and I stumbled across some old ebay pictures I had uploaded. If you read in my artist bio thing, you will notice I talk about my first "BJDs". Well, I found pictures! I thought I was share them because I think it is amusing. I can't find the picture of the group shot, but oh well. I sold the lot for like $50 bucks on Buy It Now, and it sold within MINUTES. I guess that means it was super cheap. WARNING! IMAGE HEAVY POST!
So I was looking for some white BJD eyelashes shipped within the USA and came across the "Fuck yea, BJD meme" and thought I would add some of the images that meant something to me. Click images to view larger version. |
