Well, a few days ago the creator of the Timeless body aka Venitu or Goohwa has....DECIDED TO RE-RELEASE THEM. WHAT. Yes, 5th Motif has decided to sell these dolls again. HOWEVER, he is only selling 60...er 16. He was going to make 60, but he was not getting enough orders so he bumped it DOWN to 16! WHAT. WHAT. I think the reason for this is that he is not offering layaway and most people don't know about or don't want to use PayPal Credit. He also has not advertised anywhere but his facebook page. He will be taking email orders only and the dolls will not be for sale on any website. ANYWAY, I bet you are wondering why I said this was a sad day. That's because he is $800+ and I don't have the money to buy the doll at the moment because of my previous purchases (even with PayPal Credit). I really want the phone gesture hands. I don't know what I would use them for (probably display them), but I still want them! I do know that Mr. Cho (5th Motif) is currently finishing up four sets of hands to be produced by Dollshe. He said he would probably sell them for about $300 for all four? I did ask them if he was going to make more dolls. This is our conversation: Deadra: Have you thought about creating new dolls in the future with a different casting company? I am unable to purchase one of your dolls at this time, but I really love the work that you do and I am hoping for new dolls someday! I understand how Mr. Cho feels. I also feel the same way about my own artwork. However, I think that his fans fell that this isn't' enough! ;)
Mr. Cho also announced that he has found another job and will only be making dolls a hobby in his spare time. This probably means that his progress will slow considerably and maybe stop all together. I am a fan of both Dollshe and 5th Motif. Both of which are beginning to go into hiatus. Although I will admit I liked Dollshe's older sculpts better. That were very long and elegant, which is what I like. One day I hope to buy one of his dolls in honey skin. The honey skin resin is extremely expensive, but beautiful. I really want to buy a doll in all three grey resins and the tan resins. The espresso ebony looks very interesting! I REALLY need to win that lottery, guys and gals. I digress. I am selling a few things in hopes to raise money to buy a Rythmos body and some hip hands. Please check out my listings on the following sites:
