Yes, you read the title correctly. I as dismayed to hear this news! Dollshe will not longer be selling their current dolls! June 15th was the cut off day to order one of their dolls from the old boy line. I discovered all this information late, so wasn't able to jump on the "clearance sale" they had going. Here is a quote from the Dollshe website: "DollShe craft will be discontinuing our entire lineup of boy dolls. As during the first round, all dolls will be offered at a 30% discounted rate. The same applies to parts. We will only take a set number of orders we can ship within 2-3 months." I learned that they will head taking "a new direction" on things and have since released a female doll called Ausley. Personally, I was very disappointed when I saw her. I am NOT a fan of her what-so-ever. So does this mean Dollshe will only be focusing on female dolls from now on? Nope. At first, this is what I was thinking...lots of others too. Panic reared up on the Den of Angels forum! Here is the quote that made us believe this to be true: "The existing lineup of DollShe craft boy dolls, the very first of 70cm BJDs, will be discontinued. After the release of Bermann in the fall of 2003, DollShe craft broke new grounds in BJD joint systems. Our existing lineup of boy dolls, which enjoyed great love and interest for 10 years, will be made part of BJD history. DollShe craft is now poised for an exciting new beginning. " Out of worry, a member of DoA inquired about the meaning of this statement to Dollshe and recieved this reply: "We are currently working on Ausely Love clothes, shoes, wigs. Our master sculptor DollShe-Ki-yong is putting the final touches on a new boy doll as well. Thank you for your love of DollShe craft dolls. We ask for your interest in the new boy doll that will be released soon. Please let us know should you have further questions or concerns. Have a nice day. Sincerely yours, DollShe craft" YAY! So that means they are continuing their male dolls. This is good news. Update 02/02/2016: Dollshe did end up discontinuing all their old dolls in the end. Sad day.
