Incoming doll: AMber and more

I ordered my Amber from the free choice event. Here are the details:

Free Choice Super Gem Female (Tawny)
 · Head Type = Amber - Pure Spirit
 · Body Type = Epidia - Queen of Waterfalls
 · Body Option = Extra Body Type

I was really excited about this event at first, then my image for this doll began to crumble. At first, I chose the cheapest body that was possible, the Ignim body. I was still excited at this point, even though the price was more than I thought it would be. Then come to find out, Soom had changed their bodies in 2012 and the new bodies were the bodies included in the event. My Coquina parts are from 2010, which fit the old bodies. Shit.

So I had to think about this for a minute. I have been looking for an Amber for awhile, and two that were reasonably priced had slipped through my fingers. The Amber's on the market board were all cream white and over $900.00.

I wanted Coquina hooves instead of Amber's original ones because of reasons mentioned in a previous video. This is a combo for disaster, for sure. Amber was mostly offered in cream white, save for the rare free choice events and those are hard to find. Coquina was offered in normal and bronze, except for the rare free choice events. I have seen ONE paper white Coquina. Bronze and cream white don't match AT ALL and was trying to avoid heavy blushing, because it chips easily...especially on the joints. I have even though about blushing a cream white fade to bronze via blushing.

The price was going to be about the same no matter what route I took. In any case, I decided to cancel my previous order with the Ignim body and re-order with an Epidia body, which had a similar leg structure to Coquina's yami legs. There is still the issue with the knees, but I am hoping the lower parts will fit a little better than the knee parts would. I really DON'T want to mod such an expensive body.

Another choice I am seriously considering is buying a Resinsoul 68cm body to put all my parts on. I wouldn't mind modding the knees on a cheaper body. If I go this route, I will be selling the Epidia body, including all her fantasy parts.

I am currently looking for pictures to see if the Coquina knee ball-joint part will fit inside the socket of a Resinsoul knee. I hope to find out before June 5th when I place the Resinsoul GO order.

On another note: MY IMMORTALITY OF SOUL ORDER HAS SHIPPED!!!
