My BJD Brainrot

THE DOLL BLOG NOBODY ASKED FOR
Welcome to the blog, a chaotic archive of doll ramblings, art struggles, collecting disasters, customization experiments, and whatever financial mistakes I've convinced myself are "self-care." I ramble about BJDs, review them, attempt to customize them, and occasionally have an emotional meltdown. Think of this blog as a chaotic diary made by someone who keeps buying dolls despite having no space, no restraint, and no intention of stopping. If you’re here for structure or stability, you took a wrong turn. Enjoy the chaos.
Note: Some of the blog posts are blank. I am slowly but surely fixing them. There are a lot, so it takes time.

The Necromancer's Search: Or, How a Four-Eyed Fox Doll Stole My Soul

You know those moments when you're innocently scrolling the digital equivalent of a dusty antique shop and suddenly, BAM! Your sanity is ripped out by a pair of molded, slightly sinister plastic eyes. That's how this started. I don't even remember what cosmic nonsense I was searching for—probably vintage taxidermy or a how-to guide on ritualistic sacrifices—but I stumbled upon a doll head. A GORGEOUS, horrifying, four-eyed doll head.

It was immediately apparent this wasn't some prominent companies sculpt. Information was nonexistent. A quick search yielded nothing but digital tumbleweeds. "Great," I thought, "Another brilliant, fleeting independent artist whose work I'll never own." I filed the memory away, like a freshly dug grave I’d eventually need to return to.

🦊 The Obsession: Why You Should Never Trust a Fox

But the head wouldn't die. It haunted my waking moments like a poorly-exorcised spirit.
  • The Features of My Torment: Four eyes (because two are for basic mortals), sharply molded, elf-like ears, and, the cherry on this unsettling cake, detachable fox ears.
  • The Eyelash Problem: At first, I hated the molded eyelashes. They were a bizarre, theatrical choice. Then, like Stockholm Syndrome, I fell in love. They were unique. A true anomaly in the otherwise dull, fleshy landscape of the BJD world.
This meant I had to find it. I put on my amateur necromancer hat and began to SCOUR the digital underworld. I translated my fevered ravings into Chinese, consulted the digital oracle known as Den of Angels, and waded into the murky depths of Google Image Search, Xianyu (China's second-hand market, a truly cursed place), and Baidu (a similarly cursed Chinese search engine).

🧐 The Conspiracy: Too Many Cooks, Not Enough Souls

A special thanks to "poppyfleaur_bjd" for contacting the owner of this doll and providing information!
What I unearthed was a swirling vortex of conflicting information and confusing aliases that would make a spy thriller author blush.

Alias Found: "Cursed Fox (咒狐)"
Source: Consistent across all platforms
Translation/Role: The undisputed Sculpt Name

Alias Found: RaviraDoll
Source: An Instagram source
Translation/Role: The first, seemingly false, Artist Name

Alias Found: Chinese TikTok
Account Source: Related to the above name
Translation/Role: An un-contactable source of BJD content

The Casting Cult Emerges

The trail quickly went cold and then mutated. This head wasn't an indie darling; it was licensed out to a group called CP Group (CP团), a casting entity. This is where the names started piling up like bodies after a massacre: Teacher Owl (猫头鹰老师), and the inexplicable "Oriole." The author’s teacher? Does this doll head require a degree?

Seriously, RaviraDoll to Teacher Owl? Are we talking about the same demonic doll artist, or just a group of people who are terrible at branding?

🦉 Direct Interrogation and the Linguistic Black Magic

I decided to go straight to the source, finding the CP Group on TaoBao. I essentially cornered them and demanded: "Did you cast this thing? What is its name, and who is the shadowy fiend who sculpted it?"

Their reply was swift:
“作者老师叫猫头莺 and 这款娃娃叫咒狐”

My immediate translation of this key evidence was: "The author's teacher is called Cat-headed Oriole." and "The author's name is Nightingale."

The Great Translation Cluster-F*ck

The Chinese name for the artist, Mao Tou Ying (猫头莺老师), or Teacher Owl/Cat-headed Oriole, proved to be an exercise in frustration. Every translation tool and context gave a slightly different result, like a series of fragmented prophecies:
  • (Mr.) Cat-headed Oriole
  • Teacher Owl
  • Mr. Cat-headed Warbler (or Wren)

But wait, the ritual begins to stabilize! As I cross-referenced the mangled translations, a pattern emerged! A hint of phonetic consistency in the linguistic chaos.

The name Mao Tou Ying (猫头莺) is likely the key. Even when the full translation failed, the individual parts sometimes stuck:
  • A Weibo translation yielded "Maitao Warbler," which is phonetically consistent with MAO TOU Ying.
  • Another translation gave "Yingying," which clearly links back to the final sound, YING.

This suggests that Teacher Owl/Cat-headed Oriole is the true, maddeningly translated identity. The pieces fit! The name is a cursed puzzle, but the core sculpt is 100% Cursed Fox (咒狐), though some cursed algorithm once spat out the translation "Bodhisattva." A four-eyed fox demon is a Bodhisattva. Sure. Why not.

Cursed resin doll printing ad on Xianyu.

🏆 The Prize and The Aftermath

In the end, my tireless, unholy crusade paid off. I discovered the Cursed Fox was available in both 1/3 (SD) and 1/4 (MSD) sizes. The internet was full of "WANTED" ads, but only a pitiful two listings for sale on Xianyu. One SD head, one MSD head.

I immediately mobilized my Superbuy agents, threw money at the problem, and secured the SD head. It’s now mine, and I fully expect it to whisper dark secrets to me in the dead of night.

I also learned that another group supposedly cast these heads, but I've learned my lesson about chasing spectral information. I did find someone on Xianyu advertising their resin 3D printing services, and they chose the Cursed Fox as their example. Unfortunately, the result was a tragically terrible print. A mess of garbled plastic and non-existent eyelashes. If that was their pitch, they proved they could perfectly replicate disappointment, but I swiftly dismissed this visual insult to the original artist’s demonic vision.

T̶h̶e̶ ̶h̶u̶n̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶.̶ ̶M̶y̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶l̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶i̶n̶e̶d̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶C̶u̶r̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶F̶o̶x̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶m̶e̶.̶
And of course, if you possess any dark knowledge about the Cursed Fox, or if you were involved in this artistic conspiracy, by all means, confess. Drop your spectral wisdom in the comments below or under the YouTube video. My sanity is already compromised, so what's one more piece of confusing information?

💸💔😩Post-Scriptum: The Universe Hate Me

I had this post finalized, tucked safely into the drafts, ready to celebrate my twisted victory. Naturally, the universe decided I was too happy. I woke up to a notification from my Xianyu agent: the seller of the SD Cursed Fox head had suddenly canceled the transaction. So, the SD head that stole my soul has now stolen my money and vanished. Ugh. These heads are more mythical than actual unicorns. I've found an MSD size listing, and we'll see if that transaction goes down in flames too.

Buying anything off the Chinese second-hand market is the emotional equivalent of pulling your own teeth, made worse by Superbuy tacking on what feels like an extra limb's worth of fees and currency conversion upcharges. While I have a (an?) Xianyu and Alipay account, my confidence level for a DIY transaction is precisely zero. I'm putting this post back into drafts, just in case the MSD head decides to vaporize next. The search continues.
