I have started the modifications on the female Mirodoll. I have one knee jointed roughed in, but there is still lots to do.
So I am STILL waiting on my Mirodoll order. I am upset by this because the doll I ordered were listed as "in stock" on their website. After waiting several weeks, I managed to contact them via Facebook. Turns out they were not in stock at all! I bought them on August 29th, 2016 and it is now October 3, 2016. However, these doll are still listed as "in stock" on their website even now.
As you may know, I ordered my Soom Amber and purchased some Coquina parts from the Den of Angels marketplace. I planned on selling the Epidia body and using a Resinsoul body instead, since my old Soom legs would not fit the new bodies.
YAY! The order from Resinsoul arrived (about a week or so ago)!! I checked everything over and sent out the dolls to their respective new owners. Everything went smoothly and arrived safely. The order was as follows:
I haven't taken pictures of mine yet, but eventually I will. Maybe even give a little review on them. I loved Mi and the new body with the peanut joints. I wish Resinsoul would rework the joints on all the older bodies to peanut joints. I also wish Resinsoul would redo their website and list ALL the bodies they have in the bodies section. Maybe add a parts section too (for other parts such as joints, legs, etc). Anyway, here is the body opening video. This video is mostly just checking the order. Dollshe re-released their 18M classic bodies as compensation for a bad batch of resin (or something like that) for 50% off! My wallet is screaming...SCREAMING at me telling me to stop. However, I want the Rythmos body for my IOS Chaos head, despite its posing restrictions. I am thinking about selling my Dollshe 28M35S body in order to raise money to get the Rythmos body.
I have mixed feelings about this, though. I REALLY love the resin color (tan) and sculpt, but he is such a pain in the ass to pose. A. really. big. pain. in. the. ass! My Resinsoul group order was a success and the goal of $800 was reached! The participants and I managed to purchase $926 worth! The order was submitted and paid for, now we just have to wait. :/
I ordered the following:
I will be doing a box opening video as usual, but not all the dolls are mine. There will be a newly released deertaur, Winter, in this order! There will also be a green Mi, a pair of male jointed hands, and a Yao. I still haven't gotten any updates on my other orders, but I must be patient. My doll shipment came in today! There was quite a bit to open, so I split the video into two parts. I have big plans for Co and Cho, but I am having trouble finding a suitable body for Co. I am thinking of getting a Spiritdoll smart boy body for him, but am a little worried that he will have a huge bobble head. Even Cho on the A-type body is a little bobble-y. Pictures to come. Here are the box opening videos! I ordered my Amber from the free choice event. Here are the details:
Free Choice Super Gem Female (Tawny) · Head Type = Amber - Pure Spirit · Body Type = Epidia - Queen of Waterfalls · Body Option = Extra Body Type I was really excited about this event at first, then my image for this doll began to crumble. At first, I chose the cheapest body that was possible, the Ignim body. I was still excited at this point, even though the price was more than I thought it would be. Then come to find out, Soom had changed their bodies in 2012 and the new bodies were the bodies included in the event. My Coquina parts are from 2010, which fit the old bodies. Shit. So I had to think about this for a minute. I have been looking for an Amber for awhile, and two that were reasonably priced had slipped through my fingers. The Amber's on the market board were all cream white and over $900.00. I wanted Coquina hooves instead of Amber's original ones because of reasons mentioned in a previous video. This is a combo for disaster, for sure. Amber was mostly offered in cream white, save for the rare free choice events and those are hard to find. Coquina was offered in normal and bronze, except for the rare free choice events. I have seen ONE paper white Coquina. Bronze and cream white don't match AT ALL and was trying to avoid heavy blushing, because it chips easily...especially on the joints. I have even though about blushing a cream white fade to bronze via blushing. The price was going to be about the same no matter what route I took. In any case, I decided to cancel my previous order with the Ignim body and re-order with an Epidia body, which had a similar leg structure to Coquina's yami legs. There is still the issue with the knees, but I am hoping the lower parts will fit a little better than the knee parts would. I really DON'T want to mod such an expensive body. Another choice I am seriously considering is buying a Resinsoul 68cm body to put all my parts on. I wouldn't mind modding the knees on a cheaper body. If I go this route, I will be selling the Epidia body, including all her fantasy parts. I am currently looking for pictures to see if the Coquina knee ball-joint part will fit inside the socket of a Resinsoul knee. I hope to find out before June 5th when I place the Resinsoul GO order. On another note: MY IMMORTALITY OF SOUL ORDER HAS SHIPPED!!! |
