I ramble about BJDs, review them, attempt to customize them, and occasionally have an emotional meltdown.  Another day, another doll arrives to ruin my bank account, but this time she’s worth it. Say hello to Milien – Twin Birds, a Dream Valley harpy-like BJD in normal resin. I opted for this color because, unlike white resin, it won’t yellow faster than milk left out in July.

 If you watched my last Withdoll video, you might remember me mentioning their massive 40% off sale. Naturally, I could not resist, and my wallet paid the price. I ended up buying two dolls and two heads: Mai and Nei (same sculpt, one with closed eyes) in normal resin, plus Elf Emma in Light Rosy Brown and Elf Ian in Honey Brown.
 Welcome back to another episode of "I spent my rent money on resin that will eventually turn yellow and betray me." Who needs a balanced diet when you can huff resin fumes and regret instead?
This time, the culprit is the gorgeous, possibly cursed, Dream Valley Marin - The Collector in the Attic. And let me tell you, this unboxing was less "heavenly resin angel" and more "crime scene at a discount."  Another box opening. Another reminder that my self-control packed its bags years ago and never wrote back. This time, though, something rare happened. I waited. I bought direct. I paid about $50 total for a UFDoll MSD 1/4 Lady Body (also called the Naan body), including shipping.
Yes. Fifty dollars. Meanwhile, the same body has been lurking on eBay and Mercari for around $150 like a cryptid that feeds on impatience. For once, I felt… fiscally competent. I hated it. |
